Bob Nuttall Sr. began his commercial real estate career in Charlotte NC in 1970. In 1974, Bob formed Nuttall Associates, Ltd. in Charlotte to offer office leasing and property management to property owners and developers in the Carolinas.  It grew to become the largest firm of its type in the region. 

In 1978, Nuttall Associates merged with the Binswanger organization in Philadelphia to form Binswanger’s southeastern commercial division.  Bob became President, CEO, and Broker-in-Charge of Binswanger Southern, Inc., and oversaw operations in Charlotte, Asheville, Columbia and Raleigh.

In 1980 Bob resigned as president of Binswanger Southern and moved his family to Charleston, where he reincorporated as Nuttall Associates, Ltd.  In 1989, he joined with the principals of The Keenan Company of Columbia SC to form a full-service commercial real estate firm, The Keenan Company of Charleston. This later became Colliers Keenan of Charleston, part of the Colliers International worldwide commercial real estate network. Bob was named President, Chief Operating Officer and Broker-In-Charge.  

In 1996, Bob resigned as president and relinquished the day-to-day management of the company. He then served as principal and Chairman, concentrating on transactional sales, leasing and consulting for selected commercial real estate clients in the Charleston and the southeast.

After a long and distinguished career, Bob attempted to retire in 2001. In 2006, his son, Bob Jr., persuaded him to assist his company, Anchor Commercial, in a consulting capacity. He continues to serve in this capacity.
